We have worked closely with Vicky de Haan at Crone Monument during two very different, but similarly sensitive projects that Sheriff Bill Oldham and all of us here at the Sheriff’s Office hold in high regard.  The first was a renovation and redesign of a “Wall of Honor” which is located outside the Sheriff’s suite at 201 Poplar Avenue and displays memorial plaques of our fallen officers.  More recently, her team created and installed a monument to serve as a dedication for the men and women of law enforcement who serve our community.  This 3’x5’ granite monument stands in front of the flag display for our newly constructed Firearms Training Unit operations building located at 810 Dovecrest Road.

I feel like I am just now able to write a thank you to you for all of your wonderful assistance in selecting a memorial headstone for my mother, Jane Haynes, when she passed away on December 1, 2016.

I really appreciated all of your guidance and information about headstone materials and your attention to detail as to the lettering and design of the headstone. After spending her last 15 years in California living near me and my family, my mother wanted to be buried in Collierville’s Magnolia Cemetery, in her family plot. So, this meant you and I had to work on her headstone long distance. You were very prompt about returning phone calls, sending emails and faxes about prices, materials, design and wording. Thank you for that attention to detail! I especially liked that when I called, usually you answered your phone yourself or if I had to leave a message, you returned the call promptly, most often, that same day. The other thing that I appreciated so much was that you sent a corrected design plan when we had a few changes to make. You made sure everything was documented and correct about the wording and spacing before the final design plan was submitted. It took several months for the stone to be made and I remember that every little bit, you would call or email with an update and an estimated time of completion. That follow-through helped me so much!

It was such a pleasure to work with you during what for me was a very difficult time. Your calm manner and genuine personality helped me as I made difficult decisions.
